Wonderful Ward! 6 of our favourite Shiraz Cab!

What better way to celebrate the silly season than a six pack of our Wonderful Ward! Matched perfectly with your favourite Christmas roast, it would be rude to not break out to pair with all your holidays festivities!

The 2014 Ward shows those lovely bass notes of Shiraz and high hats of Cabernet Sauvignon that make this such a unique Australian style.

Ripe Shiraz fruits are complimented by the rich, herbaceous Cabernet characters of black currant and tomato leaf and are well integrated with each other with 6 years of cellaring.

The tannins have softened somewhat but are still long on the finish and the sweet vanilla oak characters add depth to the wine. Full bodied and well-structured this is a wine for the cellar.  A glass today wouldn’t hurt but drinking out to 2026.

Stunning Shiraz - 12 of our favourite Hunter!

Glandore's Stunning Shiraz is winner for your stocking fillers this year! Wanting to impress with the best Kris Kringle gift? Then look no further!

Garnet red in colour and showing those savoury characters typical of Tempranillo, our 2014 looks every part of its Spanish contemporaries.

Charcoal and redberries are first encountered upon approaching the wine whilst a complex spice matrix draws the nose further into the glass. The savoury mid palate and dusty tannins persist throughout and provide a firm finish to the wine allowing for the most rich and spicy of food matches.

Lay this in the cellar until 2021 to see what it is capable of…or head down to your local small goods delicatessen, grab some Wagyu Bresaola, Capocollo and Ibérico ham and see what it can do now.

Pinot Grigio vs. Pinot Grigio

What more can we say about Pinot Grigio that hasn’t already been said? Not a lot. The wines are approachable and incredibly drinkable on a hot summers day. This is the most hotly contested of comparisons, but we feel we have the edge. What will you think?

As a style, Pinot Grigio is usually quite subdued on the nose, however, our Regional Pinot Grigio is bursting with intense white jasmine florals, enhanced by notes of fresh grass and cumquat, the wine simply draws you in. The palate is soft, generous & with some subtle cinnamon spice finishing with a great length.

Pinot Grigio thrives in the Sortesele vineyard, situated along the Adige valley in Northern Italy. The Santi Pinot Grigio has full and complex aromas of pears, exotic fruits and wildflowers. On the palate, the wine has generous, soft but lively fruit with firm flavours, good acidity and a long finish.

Terrific little 6 pack containing 3 bottles of each of these wines. Perfect for a summer’s day. Throw a box in your cart!
